For a long time now, right before dawn, while it’s still dark, birds in our yard start to sing. It wakes me, but I love to hear them. We have a large evergreen in our front yard which is the hiding place for them. They get together to sing loudly and blast me through the slightly open bedroom window.
This morning I let it bug me, so I went to my computer and researched “Why do birds sing before dawn?” Try it! I got so much information I can’t explain it here now, but in the world of nature study it’s not a new question. A website called “Wild Birds Unlimited” explained it so well. They detailed the phenomenon and called it “the dawn chorus.”
So I found another resource and it was as close as my Bible. The reason birds sing before dawn? Who made them and put them there? I’ve decided to enjoy the “dawn chorus” and their song and forget the question. Here’s my answer:
Psalms 104:5: “Who laid the foundation of the earth, that it shall not be removed for ever…”
10: ”He sendeth the springs into the valleys, which run among the hills…
11: They give drink to every beast of the field…
12: By them shall the fowls of the heaven have their habitation, which sing among the branches…”
