Day 13
Seek Healing – Bleeding Woman
Do you try to “fix” things yourself before going to God in prayer? If you need a miracle, today’s devotional will help you reach out to God for divine healing for your heart, your mind, and your body.
“Just then a woman who had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding came up behind him. She touched the fringe of his robe, for she thought, ‘If I can just touch his robe, I will be healed.’ Jesus turned around, and when he saw her he said, ‘Daughter, be encouraged! Your faith has made you well.’ And the woman was healed at that moment.” (Matthew 9:20-22).
Pray: Lord, thank you for the remarkable gift of your Word. Help me to receive your truth.
Observe: God wants us to seek healing for ourselves and for others. He tells us in his Word to put our worries aside and pray for everything with a spirit of thanksgiving (Philippians 4:6). He assures us that his peace will guard our hearts and minds no matter what difficulty we face—if we just believe.
God is still in the miracle business, and he wants us to be whole—mind, body, and soul. When we pray for healing, seek his will, and allow him to lead the way, we can rest assured that he will provide the right solution. We may be healed quickly, or we may recover gradually, but one way or another, we will be healed according to his will (Hebrews 2:4).
- Thank God for his many blessings, naming at least five that immediately come to mind.
- Give God your specific requests for healing—for yourself and for others.
- Thank God for his healing—past, present, or future—even if it’s not in the way you desire.
- Remain confident in God’s promise to heal according to what he knows is best.
