Whee, here we are, starting a New Year. Who ever thought we’d have come this far, what with all the problems, pestilence, wars and whatever we’ve been through? But, think about this. I do often. We are survivors. We are Children of the Light, Salt of the Earth. We have a powerful source of courage and strength to draw from. Onward!
I’m going to do that every morning if I can. Start the day with some semblance of order. Eat right, exercise more. Read my Bible and pray without ceasing. Facing a new year can be challenging. Especially if you don’t know what you’re going to be when you grow up. In my advancing years, I know what I’ve tried to be, but where do I go from here?
Who am I listening to and who am I letting lead me? I shut off the TV when I couldn’t listen to Joe Namath one more time about Medicare. The first time I heard it, I put the TV on pause, got down on my knees, nose to the screen and read the fine print. The first line said the people who were advertising were not with our government at all. So I shut him off whenever he came on. I was really excited about Dec. 7, but it took me two days to find out he was gone. Someone had to remind me. Spending time on our knees is a good thing to do when we don’t know what to do. Frog! Fully Rely On God!
Romans 12: 1-2 “I beseech you, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your boidies a living scarifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good and acceptable, and perfect will of God.”
