Peace is coming. It’s already in our hearts. We just have to let it happen. In a rare quiet moment, sometime in the middle of the chaos that can be Christmas, with so much to do, a rare sense of Peace may overcome you. I have had that happen and the older I get the more often it happens.
But only when I slow down and remember. Because Christmas is about remembering. I said once in print somewhere that remembering and forgetting are gifts God has given us to help us live a good life. The good memories can outweigh the bad. It’s really our choice, the choice we make on a daily basis to remember God is in charge.
To let the Peace that can come with Christmas cover us, calm us and change us into what God has called us to be: His. He’s in charge, and when we remember that, trust will win our hearts again. He gave us the most welcome gift: His Son, Our Saviour. Christmas is to be remembered. Jesus really is The Reason For The Season.

Luke 7:50 “And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.”
Romans 5:1 “Therefore, being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ”
