May’s Gone. Remember how we looked forward to it? Was it just me or did it fly by? How can time seem so elusive sometimes and yet when we get troubled it seems to hang around forever!
Watching children grow, mature and go off to their own lives tends to make time as fleeting as can be, unless they have trouble making it through parts of their lives. Then we want so badly to help them, praying becomes so necessary. Our prayer lists get longer and longer. People close to us, people far away. People we don’t know. Everyone I know, it seems, is in constant prayer for the building collapse in Davenport. We’ve all had enough grief to understand to a point what they are going through, survivors, and those who lost loved ones. Even though we’ve perhaps not been through a similar situation, we understand the pain of loss.
June is the month of weddings, graduations, baby showers. A celebratory month. May it be so this year. May we share our love with all we meet, and pray for those away from us any way. Such beautiful flowers are starting now. Go dig in some dirt on a large or small scale and see how much it helps you feel better. Protect those tender ones from the hot sun and keep them watered and shaded. Spread the love around.
Fight fear of any kind on a large scale. Remember God is with us in all things if we choose to let His spirit motivate us to care for others in an active and loving way. Onward!

Philippians 4:7 “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 9. These things, which ye have both learned and received and heard, and seen in me, do and the God of Peace shall be with you.”
