What is the Number One answer you get to a question you asked someone else? How are you? It has to be I’m Fine.
What is that? FINE: Fearless Individual Naturally Empowered. That’s what I saw on Facebook for a definition of FINE. I added to that to make it better: By God. That’s where our empowerment really comes from. Ever run out of power? Ever think you’re done, finished? Only one person said It is finished and changed the course of life as we know it. If you study that statement and it’s surroundings, you’ll be aware of the power of the person speaking.
If we’re running out of power and we know it, we can perhaps withdraw from the situation. So many times that’s not possible. The only way we can see is Through. We can draw on the strength, prayer and power of friends and others who sustain us when they can. But what if it’s a situation where they stand with you, but they too are so influenced by the situation that they too, are winding down? Now I sound like Forrest Gump, but my Grandma always said about something that bothered her: That just sets my teeth on edge. She had all her teeth at the time, so she was really bothered. But she was also not one to let things go, and she always set out to right whatever wrong was happening. Not one to sit by and stew.
So if we want to be FINE, we need to be ready. We need to read, study and learn our life goals as directed by God and in the Bible. Do you remember that little verse I personally learned in Bible School?
The B I B LE, yes, that’s the book for me, I stand alone on the word of God, the B I B L E. Some people think that’s too simple. It’s not when we remember we are never left alone. The power is ours, we just have to ask for it. Pray.
Ephesians 5:1-2 “Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children, 2. And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given his self for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling Savour.
Phillipians 1:6 “Being confident of this very thing that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.”
