Look forward to Easter, but also look Onward. Easter is not an ending but a beginning. We have a choice to make this Holy Week one of celebration and worship. We can find Peace and Serenity. We have to look forward to counting our blessings while we watch this world come alive with Spring. As I write this, we only have a couple of hours to go before Spring is officially here.
My favorite time of year, because everything is coming alive, breaking out of hibernation. We found out what that was when we sheltered during the Pandemic. We also remembered how blessed we are with family and friends to share the struggle with. With some we shared the sorrow of losing loved ones, so difficult at any time. Seasons come and seasons go, and sometimes seasons come back when we’re not expecting them to reappear. Winter and Spring so often play Tag with each other, before we get to Summer. Often Summer just lands on us and we have to bear it.
Please know my heart is with all who are in sorrow at this Time. But the hope of Easter brings us round again with hope firmly placed in our hearts, looking to reunions. Jesus is our hope, The Holy Spirit is our comforter, and God Himself is right here with us always. He knows His plan for us, to love His children and our neighbors as ourselves. That’s what we do for Him.
Romans 12:9 “Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil, cleave to that which is good.”
Romans 12:12 “Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer.”
Romans 12:21 “Be not overcome with evil, but overcome evil with good.”
