Many times these days I wake up and wonder what day it is. Or the date. Today is important, but not as much as tomorrow. Unless God has a supprise for us and Jesus will come! Wouldn’t be surprised, really. The shape this world is in, we all really need Him and His Peace.
Election Day tomorrow of course. We do this every four years. I remember when hubby and I were first married. The voting was a little challenging. From paper to machines that enveloped you in swinging huge curtains that you closed around you and then opened again. I am not a real tall person and that arm on them was long and heavy. I lived in fear I’d wrap myself up and fall down taking the whole thing down on top of me. The procedures are always different from year to year, picky little procedures designed to throw you off balance. Sometimes we laughed all the way home, because we thought we’d cancelled each other’s vote. But every vote does count. Did then too.
My vote is already in the postal system. Should actualy be there by now. Policy is so important this year. We know, however, who is really in charge. He may not be happy with us, by the way. Babies are very important to our God and His Son. I think He must really be sad to think of all those infants who are no longer here. Their potential would no longer contribute to our lives with answers for questions we have. Or entertain us with giggles and laughs.
We must as Christian people arise and vote our conscience and be prepared to take a stand for Christ whenever called on to do so. Stand for Jesus.
Matthew 10:29-31, “Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs on your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.”
