Here we are only two days from September, 2022, and I’m not ready. Seems with hot weather and heavy rain, summer just never quite got to be full scale summer. We’ve broken records for hail, heat and rain, but I mean the summer’s when it was really summer…fun and lazy. So where do we go now? We’ve been asking ourselves that for weeks on end. Just about the time we think we know where we’re headed, someone or something tugs on that proverbial rug and we go flying. Into our hiding place, a tub of water, hot or cold, whichever you prefer.

Just about the time we think we know where we’re headed, someone or something tugs on that proverbial rug and we go flying. Into our hiding place, a tub of water, hot or cold, whichever you prefer.
When a friend of mine told me she’d been in Oklahoma heat at her house for three days, with her air conditioner broken and no cool basement to hide out in, I told her what I’d do in that situation. I’d run the tub full with cold water and keep the water coming till the air conditioner was fixed. I said I thought that crepe-y skin was nothing. I wouldn’t even mind looking like a plumped raisin with puffy fingers and toes to survive three digit heat for 90 days in a row. She did and proved she’s tougher than me.
When you decide how you’re going forward, let me know. We all know that faith and trust are what we need to grow.
Philippians 4:3-4 “And I entreat thee also, true yokefellows, help those women which labored with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellow laborers, whose names are in the book of Life. 4 Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.”
Philippians 4:8: “finally, brethren, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue and if there be any praise, think on those things. Those things, which ye have both learned and received, and hear, and seen in me, do and the God of peace shall be with you.”
