Education is required by the state, learning is up to us. Whether we learn by rote or reason, it can be exciting and fun. Baking cookies, for example. I took a sheet of baked cookies from the oven and set it on top the stove. A few minutes later without thinking or my oven mitt, I grabbed the edge of the pan to straighten it up a little.
It was hot, burned my finger. But I had a cup of flour sitting nearby and I simply stuck my hand deep into the flour. Within minutes, the finger didn’t hurt, no blister, no burn mark. Cooled it right down. I think it was Rachel Ray who suggested that.
A physical therapist taught me years ago how to tie my shoes so they don’t come untied so often. Not just a double knot but a single pull and it usually comes undone when you want it to.
Nobody wants to come undone at the wrong time. Learning to depend on God for everything is also done inch by inch. Sanity is essential in this world we live in today and prayer really helps.
Ephesians 1:9-22 “And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment; that ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ; being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.”
Seems like I’m learning new things everyday. Thank goodness for Google!
