Dad’s advice to my brother was sage after all. Slow down, pay attention. I’ve always been a multi-tasker. Get as much done as you can in the time you allot to do it. Sometimes it is a lot and even too much.
As years passed, I slowed and focused more on finishing things, instead of scattering my efforts about. So here I am, helping to host an outdoor gathering with a forecast of scattered showers. I am ready for outdoors. It’s not all on me. When the prospect of not just rain but scattered storms popped up, I admit to a few moments of panic. Especially when I look at the indoors I’ve ignored to focus on the outdoors.
I stood in front of my kitchen sink and looked out the window. Or tried to. Seems a very small spider has also focused on his surroundings. He made trips all over the screen to produce a work of art. It’s a hanging, heaped, spun web with long lengths of his brand of fiber. It will have to be dealt with BF. (Before Family.)
Unless of course the sun is shining and we are, indeed all outdoors. I hate to be the one to rain on his parade by wiping away his work, but I will only do the inside. To wash the outside, the window washer has to stand on slippery steel doors to the basement. Not me!
