2024. Remember how anxious we were to switch from 1999 to the year 2000? All kinds of weird things were being predicted, some of which seemed a little plausible, others so far out.
We didn’t give a lot of thought at the time to 2024. Yet here we are. We’ve experienced over three years of agony and defeat along with some amazing God Winks. Remember the video of the guy on skis tumbling over and over down the slope? It was shown over and over till I can close my eyes and still see it if I recall it.
What if when I’m tempted to let it come up into view but say no, I don’t want to see that again? What if I view life as agony and defeat? We are only a week past our glorious celebration of Christ’s birth, each in our own way. We have choices for what kind of world this will be this coming year. Serious choices, happy choices, with resources from on high which have been planted in our hearts by our Creator. We have to choose to pull them out and use them to care for others, reach our own personal destiny planned by our God. Don’t make resolutions. Set goals for this year. Happy New Year! 2024!
